Dimensioning of short cantilever for shearing stress
Theoretical and photoelastic investigation of stress distribution in reinforced concrete brackets with vertical point load acting on upper or lower edge or equally divided between them; it is shown that bracket can be represented by simple statically indeterminate framework with equal longitudinal rigidity of members; formulas are derived and presented in graphs and tables enabling design of bracket and its reinforcement.
