A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Problem of car parking in respect of central area redevelopment of larger towns is discussed; alternative method of assessment of parking requirements based upon origin-destination traffic survey and parking survey respectively is devised; by applying appropriate growth factors to peak hour flows entering center, and taking into account future planned floor areas of various use zones, maximum number of cars entering each use zone and average duration of stay can be obtained from which number of car spaces can be derived.
