X-ray investigation of concrete reinforcing bar steels St5, 35GS and 30KhG2S; bars from 30KhG2S steel were below standard; phase analysis showed that this steel contains 15% of austenite, experiments indicated that mechanical properties of bars can be improved by aging, tempering at 200 to 300 C and electric heating which results in decrease of distortions, probably due to liberation of hydrogen from steel during aging.
