Effect of irradiation by fast neutrons on mechanical properties, particularly on hardening and embrittlement, of unalloyed and low alloy steels was investigated as function of grain size, structure, previous work hardening, and irradiation temperature; data are plotted; recovery from irradiation damage by subsequent annealing was studied on Mn-Mo steel; slowing down of recovery was observed around 300 C.
