138-m long 32.9-m wide grandstand has 6500 seats and is constructed predominantly from precast members joined by means of poured-in-place concrete and steel connections; shell roof consists of 5-cm thick plates with cast-in-situ ribs, and weighs only 11kg/sq m; both ends of grandstand are closed by glass walls stiffened by steel stanchions connected with roof construction by means of roller bearings which permit vertical motions of stanchions up to 46 cm; statical calculations, wind loads, construction methods.
