General description of tunnel approximately 285 ft. below general surface of valley and approximately 15,500 ft. long; downtake and uptake shafts are 10 ft. in diameter; entire tunnel is of circular section 7 1/2 ft. in diameter, bore being 9 ft. 4 in. in diameter; construction methods and ventilation problems are discussed.
