A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Account of fundamental principles which must be conformed to in design of auditorium or theater in order to bring about prearranged distribution of sound intensity throughout audience; method described differs from those employed at present in that desired distribution of sound is first decided on and form of hall then worked out; instead of first choosing form of hall as determined by architectural and practical considerations, and then testing design to ascertain what acoustical results are to be anticipated.
