Pulverizing of sewage screenings at Baltimore, Maryland
Series of tests were conducted at Baltimore, Md., during period from June to October, 1926, on grinding of sewage screenings in pulverizer; after being ground, material was returned to sewage; pulverizer was capable of shredding from 1.5 to 2 tons of screenings per hour with current consumption of about 1/4-kw.-hr. per cu. ft. of ground material; tests indicated that pulverizer would grind screenings satisfactorily. (see also Can. Engr., vol. 57, no. 22, Nov. 26, 1929, pp. 751-783)
