Mechanization of timbering for roof supports
Description of machine to drill hitch holes, thus preventing falls of roof and reduce cost by not using leg timbers; use of steel rail crossbar, instead of timber roof support, is also illustrated. (See also Coal Min vol. 6, no. 1, Jan. 1929 pp. 32-33 and 35, 9 figs; Colo. School of Mines Mag., vol. 19, no. 2, Feb. 1929, pp. 41-42, 9 figs.)
