A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Tests on 12-ft diam model have indicated possibility of constructing 300-ft diam building without interior columns and with roof supported by fraction of pound per sq in. of air pressure; neither unsymmetrical loading nor wind tunnel tests disclosed undesirable features; details of air supported roof over large grain storage, built in 1934, is reported.
