Principal feature of public address system, completed at station of London and North Eastern Railway, is device which automatically adjusts volume of sound from loud speaker groups in relation to level of noise in their vicinity; installation consists of 123 loud speakers of waterproof construction and resistant to attack by sulphur and soot.
