Hardness curve and Ludwik cone pressure hardness
In place of potency equation of E. MEYER for ball indentations, new equation, called hardness curve, is developed, and in most cases Meyer hardness values can be replaced by Ludwik cone hardness; for determination of 90° cone hardness, hard metal cone is most suitable.
