A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Use of machines for trimming subgrade and for placing concrete lining in canals has dispensed with need for simple cross sections composed of straight line segments; paper shows method of analyzing several typical curved sections, as well as most economical trapezoidal section for comparable paving machine speeds. (See also - n 5 May 1944 p 619-28, n 7 (discussions) Sept p 1231-3, n 8 Oct p 1343-5)
