Design of welded steelwork in Bridgewater Bridge, Tasmania
Bridgewater Bridge is combined road and rail structure crossing estuary of River Derwent 12 mi upstream from Hobart; new structure is 1109 ft long consisting mainly of welded 57 ft 6 in. plate girder spans carried on concrete piers, center spans are of welded truss type, including lift span giving clearance of 98 ft 6 in.
