Eugene airport built in heavy soils of Willamette Valley
Details pertaining to enlargement of municipal airport in Oregon; built in 1940 by U S Army Engineers, original airport had three runways, 3900, 4500 and 4800 ft long, respectively; two of runways lengthened to 5250 ft and 6018 ft, 50-ft taxiways built around perimeter, and 150 × 200 ft apron with two approaches was constructed.
