Acceptance of concrete pipe lines
In accordance with DIN 4033 sewer pipes must be tested for water-tightness after laying and before trench is filled in; it is evidenced that during this test stresses can occur which lead to destruction of pipes, both as result of surges in water pressure and through temperature differences under unfavorable conditions; conditions with regard to pressure shock can be improved substantially by provision of larger vents.
