A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Impact testing apparatus standardized in DIN 107 for tests of concrete piles was so reconstructed that with it repeated blows of 50 kg drop hammer to concrete cylinder (d equals 15 cm, h equals 30 cm) each from uniform, prescribed drop height (10 to 150 cm); electronic measuring device permits recording and registration of number of blows, force introduced, distortion in longitudinal and crosswise direction and also course of time of all operations; impact resistance in tests was determined as number of blows of 50 kg hammer from drop height of 80 cm. (p 131-6, p 177-82)
