Piles described are made of concrete with compressive strength of 500 kg/sq cm; reinforcement consists of 6 to 10 mm diam bars which are tensioned to 2000 to 2800 kg/sq cm, compression in concrete being 15 to 22 kg/sq cm; piles are cast in beds and cured in steam after placing and tensioning of reinforcement.
