Moments in continuous beams on flexible supports
Adaptation of concepts developed by L.E.GRINTER and R.V.SOUTHWELL; by introducing imaginary hinges at supports, statically determinate structure is obtained; angular discontinuities are then computed, first for separately applied unit end moments, and again for given loading; using this data, required moments are obtained by converging series of successive corrections reestablishing continuity at supports.
