Creep testing cold drawn ingot iron
Recent studies of National Bureau of Standards reveal that resistance of metal to fracture increased with increase in strain rate; resistance to creep increased as test temperature decreased; photomicrographs show ferrite grain size of cold drawn ingot iron and typical structures at fracture of specimens tested in tension at different temperatures and strain rates.
