Behavior of radiant heated hardwood floors
Observations on behavior of flooring laid over heating pipes embedded in concrete and over others supported on wood joists showed that drying during winter sometimes caused objectionable cracks between flooring strips and absorption of moisture during summer caused floor to buckle; recommendations for minimizing shrinking and swelling.
