Uniformity of illumination in highway lighting
With reference to American Standard Practice for Street and Highway Lighting, authors analyze present recommended design procedure and point out several inherent factors in conflict with these recognized requirements of good visibility; need for specific definition of what constitutes adequate pavement brightness and good uniformity; suggestions for minor modifications to existing Standard Practice.
