Study was made of secular change and possibility of predicting inflows into Lake Biwa, Japan and climatic factors affecting annual loss of water; results indicate that since secular change in winter inflow is nearly stationary, annual inflow is mainly due to summer inflow; periodicity of 60 yr in secular trend of annual and summer inflows is discerned by correlation analysis; secular change of total loss of water results from evapotranspiration.
