Hygrometric method for determining moisture content of porous materials
Study conducted at Laboratorio Nacional de Engenharia Civil (National Laboratory of Civil Engineering) on vibrating wire tele-hygrometer, which is based on length variations undergone by certain hygroscopic materials on absorbing or losing moisture and measurement of these strains by means ov vibrating wire, vibration of which when excited by electromagnet has frequency which is function of stress in wire.
