New techniques in alinement design and stakeout
Application of recently introduced techniques to determination of highway alignments, including coordination of photogrammetry, electronic distance-measuring devices, coordinate systems, electronic computers, design templates, and other design aids is illustrated; steps for new method, in order of application, are initial mapping for location studies, paper location of centerline, final mapping for design, calculation of alignment, final design and plan preparation, and stakeout of alignment.
