A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
New fog-sweeping device, labeled "fog broom", was recently tested by New Jersey State Highway Dept safety research engineering group; tests were conducted in preliminary fog laboratory at Trenton, NJ; result of two initial tests was that room which had been fogged and saturated at 100% relative humidity was visually clear after 6 min; size of fog-broom frame used was relatively small, 3 ft 10 in. high by 2 ft 3 in. wide; nylon strings were 4 lb-test monofilament line vertically strung and closely spaced on frame.
