Multibarrel vault greenhouse roof of glass-fiber reinforced plastic
Use of glass fiber reinforced plastics (grp) for construction of multibarrel cylindrical vault (mbcv) roof of greenhouses was studied; three experimental buildings were constructed; analysis of test results showed that roofs formed from flat panels performed well up to buckling load and exhibited remarkable stiffness and that use of grp panels in construction of mbcv greenhouses looks promising; corrugated panels should not be used in fabrication of mbcv with principal shell curvature across corrugations; light regimen within structures covered with translucent grp appears to result in satisfactory plant response.
