Seepage around cutoff walls
Approximate analytical methods were used to determine locality of free surface and quantity of flow under steady state conditions in homogeneous porous medium; section considered is founded on impervious base and exhibits vertical cutoff at some distance from vertical face; comparisons between approximate analytical results and experimental results obtained from Hele-Shaw viscous flow model indicate reliability of developed solutions.
