Wear test described was carried out in connection with extension of quay terminal in Port of Oslo, Norway, including construction of warehouses, which have total floor area of 17,000 sq m; purpose of test was to evolve wear-resistant and economical finish for warehouse floors; test was made by means of industrial truck of certain type which was loaded with steel plate weighing 3200 kg; as result of test it was decided to use floor finishes made of vibrated and ground concrete; gravel was used as coarse aggregate, and aggregates consisted for most part of quartz.
