Scaling factors for model fires
In study initiated at U S Bureau of Standards Institute for Applied Technology to develop basic information on use of small-scale models in fire research, three sizes of box-type model enclosures were investigated; scaling relationships were found between sizes, which may be useful in relating models to full-scale structures; scaling relationships were obtained by normalizing burning rate and ventilation parameter.
