Temperature-controlled swine housing -- Weaning to market
Confinement housing facilities for swine constructed in southeast Virginia; in temperature-controlled house, perimeter insulation was installed and plastic-film vapor barrier placed under floor; 2 1/2 in. corrugated aluminum sheets were installed on roof; exterior was also covered with aluminum sheets installed horizontally; preformed aluminum corners and trim were used; summer and winter testing procedures are described; results are compared with those obtained in tests of swine housing in open-shed-type building.
