Underground distribution for medium density load areas
Various methods by which Dept of Water and Power, Los Angeles, provides electrical underground distribution; employment of 4.8-kv undergrounded delta, radial system and 34.5-kv uni-grounded three-wire wye subtransmission system for power distribution; service to multiple-unit residential and commercial areas is considered; installation of 34.5-kv junction boxes and padmounted transformers is discussed.
