Proposed principles of calculating buckling load and ultimate load of shells
Survey is made of most significant solutions to problems of buckling of isotropic cylindrical, conical, and spherical shells as well as stiffened cylinders; practical structural design formulas are derived for determination of buckling and ultimate loads for shells subjected to internal or external loads; applicable to design of shell roofs, pressure vessels, etc.
