Strength of concrete and reinforced concrete circular cylindrical shells under external hydrostatic pressure
Failure mode of these shells with relatively small radius-thickness ratio, strength and water tightness of connections and other mechanical properties were experimentally investigated; results obtained confirmed feasibility of use of concrete for construction of these shells without need for reinforcing them with circumferential ribs.
