Basic framework of Abstracta dome is made up from curved tubular members and steel connectors which are easily assembled or dismantled; tight, nylon-reinforced PVC one-piece skin is stretched over framework to provide strong, weathertight cover which includes entrance and hinged door; adequate daylight is transmitted through translucent cover; two most popular sizes are 65 ft 7 in. in diam, with 2830 sq ft of floor space and 85 ft 4 in. diam, with 5090 ft floor space.
