Effect of earthquake on earth dams
New method of superposition to evaluate pore pressure in earth dams due to increase in water thrust on upstream face during full resevoir condition for different horizontal intensities of earthquake; stability analysis showed that earth dam with narrow impervious core sloping upstream and placed nearer to upstream face is most advantageous.
