Prefabrication yesterday, industrialization today
Era of prefabrication during which use of prefabricated elements was restricted to one building or series of buildings, is followed by era of industrialization where prefabrication will encompass all of structural elements, possibly on national scale, and erection of buildings will chiefly consist in assembly of whole prefabricated structural units; measures so far taken in this direction in France are explained, along with brief indications of, and comments on their effects, so as to spotlight trends likely to lead to further progress.
