Study on bearing capacity of concrete
Two- and three-dimensional concentrated loading tests were carried out on cubes and prism specimens, to investigate effects of concrete block dimensions upon bearing capacity; relation between ultimate bearing capacity and ratio of footing area to loading areas was established by simple formula; tests for reinforced concrete show that spiral reinforcement was effective for increasing ultimate bearing capacity.
