Loadcarrying capacity of circular concrete slabs with cutouts; slabs made of materials of different tensile and compressive strength are considered; failure criteria and their geometrical interpretation in Mohr's stress space are discussed; it is shown that most suitable failure condition for concrete is modified CoulombTresca yield criterion; using limit analysis theorems, loadcarrying capacity is determined by considering statically and kinematically admissible mechanism of failure.
