Concrete hinges
Behavior of concrete hinges subjected to repeated torsion was studied at Otto-Graf Institute, Stuttgart, West Germany; on grounds of test results new standards are suggested with respect to construction as well as determination of hinge dimensioning and permissible twist angle; higher compressive stresses than those allowed in standards DIN 1045 and DIN 1075 were found to be advantageous.
