Portal-type steel formwork with all three members articulated by means of vertical jacks and horizontal draw bar is 1.49 m long, 2.50 m high, up to 5.70 m wide, and moves on preinstalled runways; concrete setting is accelerated by means of hot water coils incorporated into formwork panels and fed from portable boiler unit; 13-story building comprising 64 apartments was built in 26 days and was ready for occupancy in 17 wk after completion of foundation work.
