A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Orebody is tertiary sediment in upper Wind River formation; uranium occurs in gray angular sandstone as microscopic particles clustered around sand grains; good orebody was located from 60 to 100 ft deep and another, lying from 200 to 450 ft below ground surface; open pit mining in deep cut for ore deposit creates difficult problems; ground water is extremely heavy and pit crews must pump 700,000 gpd to keep floor dry; processing of uranium in Jeffrey City Mill is described.
