Column analogy solution of rotational yield of beam and frame supports
Column analogy can be applied to structures which join two points and where bending component is paramount, i.e. beams, portals, gables, and arches; effect on column analogy technique of support which yields rotationally by amount proportional to applied moment; example for calculation of fixing moments of given beam; calculation of moments at two points of portal frame.
