Calculated and observed effect of dead loads and dynamic crane loads on framework of workshops building
Building is of steel framed multi-bay pitched roof portal construction, equipped with electric overhead cranes; strain measurements were made in main frame as dead load was applied in each bay separately and in all bays together; stiffening effect of protected metal roof sheeting; strains caused by operation of overhead cranes.
