Moisture determination in soils and stabilised soils
Oven drying, entrainment distillation, alcohol extraction, carbide loss in weight, and refractive index methods for measuring moisture content in stabilized soils; experimental equipment and procedures outlined; results indicate refractive index and carbide loss in weight methods most useful in determining moisture in soils; simplicity of former method makes it useful in determining liquid and plastic limits.
