Standard plywood panels form curved thin-shell roof
Library on campus of Hunter College in New York City, is made up of six thin-shell concrete sections that resemble inverted umbrellas with supporting column in center; umbrellas cover floor area of 120× 180 ft; sections are independent, but key cast into shell at edges fit them together; thickness of shells is 3 1/2 in.; use of plywood panel forms supported by conventional falsework.
