New form of quay wall breastwork in Argyll, Scotland; structure is self anchoring, semi-mass concrete facing wall, supported on raking broad flange beam piles; steel sheet piling serves to secure wall against sliding and provides support for concrete filling cavities in old mass concrete wall; greenheart pile fendering consists of piles at 10-ft centers bolted to 14in.×14in. waling.
