Spacing of split-ring timber connectors
Procedure recommended for determining spacing of timber connectors; comprehensive loading tests made on timber connectors whose axes are neither parallel nor perpendicular to grain of connected timbers provide calculating data; loads were applied at angles ranging from 0 to 90° to grain while axes of pairs or connectors varied from parallel to perpendicular to grain to cover most conditions met with in design.
