Fluoride in ground water of cretaceous area of Alabama
Total of 162 preliminary chemical analyses and 19 complete analyses were made, purpose being to determine occurrence, quality, and availability of ground water of area; waters carrying high amounts of fluoride cause dental defect known as mottled enamel; waters containing low amounts of fluoride have been known to help prevent dental decay; most of wells which yield water with harmful amounts of fluoride are in Eutaw formation.
