To save steel in constructing water supply improvements at Springfield, Vt, reservoir was built with walls, columns, and roof all of plain concrete, roof consisting of series of grained arches; after walls had been constructed for greater part of their height and columns to full height, roof was built in alternate sections; floor, also free of steel, was added last.
